About the artists
We all draw deeply from the beautiful Devon countryside and its abundant wildlife, creating unique paintings, sculptures, and pottery that truly capture the spirit of our region. Each piece of art tells a story and we hope will connect you to the natural beauty of Devon and the South West.

Marie Rose, ROI, Artist
Maria Rose ROI is a British oil painter working outdoors to create softly evocative 'en Plein air' landscapes capturing mood and light. Maria was a contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2018 and was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) in 2023. Maria exhibits with many galleries across England.

Woody Fox, Sculpture
Woody Fox is a children’s book illustrator and willow sculptor. Woody uses willow as it uniquely lends itself to creating muscle tone and textures in his wildlife sculptures. Woody's life size horse sculptures stand proud at Blenheim Palace and his stags in several National Trust locations. His wildlife, farm animals and mythical creatures make a beautiful addition to an indoor or outdoor space. Woody works mostly to commission, so Open Studios and our other Witheridge Artists events are rare opportunities to see a wide variety of his work.

Jenny Nash, Artist
Jenny Nash creates expressive seascapes and landscapes that reflect the changing moods of the South West - from wild, windswept beaches to gentle fields, woodland and moorland under vast, shifting skies. Jenny has exhibited in several South West exhibitions.

Laura at Mud & Moor, Ceramics
Laura at Mud & Moor creates usable, botanical and sea-inspired ceramics that bring nature to everyday life. Laura's amazing ceramics range from plant labels to dinner sets, each with unique impressions from nature, delicately hand-painted to create beautiful, peaceful ceramics that are a joy to look at and to hold.
